On Thursday 30th May, residents of Cookham in Berkshire were introduced not only to painted dogs but also to all the intricacies of PDC by UK Trustee Derek Fry. All those attending had braved a torrential rain storm to get there and were rewarded by a fabulous presentation covering all the details of anti-poaching operations, the children’s bush camp, sustainable gardening and more. Eager visitors were then encouraged to buy a range of snare art or beaded work from the project’s Art Centre. Thanks to Derek, visitors left with a much deeper understanding of the myriad of problems facing the survival of painted dogs.
